Interlinear for the Rest of Us: The Reverse Interlinear for New Testament Word Studies (NIV)
Disclaimer: I wrote this text. I always though traditional interlinears were a bit odd. Why should the order of the Greek text be what is primary. People who need interlinears don’t know enough Greek to grasp the significance of the Greek word order, and it produces a horrible, unreadable English translation.
The Zondervan Greek and English Interlinear New Testament (NASB/NIV)
Disclaimer: I wrote this book. When I was done with my Reverse Interlinear, I thought that would be the end of interlinear work for me. But Zondervan asked if I would also do a standard interlinear, one that followed the order of the Greek words and not the English. At first I declined, primarily because I don't like what traditional interlinears do to the English. But I had wanted to do a work with my father, and he is a superb translator. (We were both on the ESV translation team.) Dad wanted to do a new translation, so we agreed to do the book together.
